The team at Echoes Ecology are experienced in the preparation of Habitat Management Plans (HMP). Habitat Management Plans may be requested by the Local Authority as a planning condition, to satisfy a BREEAM or CfSH requirement or to assist in a conservation programme. They are implemented to mitigate or compensate for the impacts caused by the development, or to enhance the natural heritage interest of the area. Habitat Management Plans detail the baseline ecology at the site, identify management objectives and outline how the objectives will be implemented. The production of a plan ensures the efficient use of resources by clearly outlining the actions to be taken at the site, the timescale over which the actions will be implemented and who is ultimately responsible for each action.
