BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) is a sustainability assessment method for building design, construction and operation, and measures sustainable value in a series of categories. One of the categories evaluated is Land Use and Ecology, which includes an assessment of the ecological value of the site, any ecological enhancements, the protection of existing ecological features and the overall change in ecological value as a result of the proposed development. Echoes Ecology have a number of staff able to fulfil the requirements for a Suitably Qualified Ecologist under the BREEAM scheme. We can offer a full site survey and report in relation to the Land Use and Ecology category and provide advice on opportunities to obtain further credits.
